Whew! Let me give you a little recap on our busy Labor Day. First, the husband and I...Ok, wait. I have to digress, already. Everyone else has cute little names for their significant other on their blog. I'm not sure if it's for privacy's sake, or just for the overall likability factor, but either way, I am not about to be left out. And unlike other names that take ages and years and eons to decide upon (see: the new name of my store, which is YET TO BE DETERMINED - I will take suggestions!), I already have a good name for Cody. The name has already been tested and approved in our household for some time now, so henceforth, Cody will be known on this blog as Husbando Grande. HG! There! Now I'll continue.
So, HG and I woke up at a blindingly early 10:35am. After discovering that "The Price Is Right" was not on because of TENNIS! we lazily rolled over and drowsily pondered what we might do today.
Ok, let's work on the sprinkler system. Maybe we can finish it!
No, let's go running.
Well, I would, but I need to finish those science reports.
Oh yeah, and I need to clean out the gutters.
Ok, so running is out.
Yeah, and so is the sprinkler system, really.
Well, we need to get the digital camera from your office, at least, right? To take pictures of where the valves in the sprinkler system are.
Ok, we'll do that.
It is now approximately 4:31pm. HG has played about 57 rounds of Tiger Woods golf on his PSP, and I have spent nearly the entire day crouched in the western-most corner of my house, trying to steal the wireless signal from our next door neighbors so that I can play on the Internet. Neither of us have even changed out of our pajamas, much less gone running or completed any science reports. The digital camera remains safely hidden somewhere in HG's office. Working on the sprinkler system was a joke to begin with. And the gutters, poor things, are every bit as clogged with pine needles as they've ever been.
All in all, I'd say that so far this has been the very best Labor Day I could have hoped for. Thanks for being my best friend AND the best person to spend a supremely lazy Labor Day with, Husbando Grande. I love you.
Oh I think it is a WONDEFUL sort of day if I don't have to get dressed!

Sounds like the best kind of day. Now if those only came around more often!!
I use "husband" or "the hubs" etc for privacy and because I'm still feeling out this blog thing! Oh and I do actually call him husband a lot at home.
