Let's say you're going to take a test. Let's also say that you either have not been attending class, or have not been paying any attention while in class. The test is a fill-in-the-blank type format. So there is most likely not a lot of hope for you to do well on the beforementioned test. In light of these conditions, which would be the better option:
1. Guess or make up answers to every single question, not leaving any blank even though it means making up some pretty random crap
or
2. Turn the test in completely blank, stating as you hand it to the professor, "I don't know none of this s*#@!"
At first consideration it seemed to me that the second option was really not all that great of a plan, but then after thinking about it for a while, I decided that maybe it saves your dignity or something, just turning it in blank like that. Perhaps the inherent meaning in such a gesture is "I'm better than this test and I know it, so therefore I will not lower myself to guessing and making up answers to appease you higher education snobs with the regurgitation of pointless facts." Or maybe it just means that they really don't know anything and somehow don't care that they are wasting their time and money to take a class and completely fail it. I really can't decide which it is.....
